Industrial Visit to Baramura Gas Thermal Electric Division

Industrial Visit to Baramura Gas Thermal Electric Division, Organised by Department of Electrical Engineering, TCEA.

The project has 2 nos. gas turbine sets of 21 MW each in operation with PLF of almost 95%.

The Baramura project has been synchronized with NE Grid in the ABT regime.

These 2 units are considered Inter-state stations.

The students observed the generating setup, the single shaft turbine generator structure along with the other essential devices e.g. fuel gas filter, compressor, dc exciter, the duct system, delta-delta power transformer of 37.5MVA, etc.

The control room comprising of Control Panel Unit, power stack battery packs & the auxiliary equipment was also shown to the students.
