ABOUT IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was designed as a way to institutionalise and guarantee a quality culture. As a post-accreditation quality maintenance measure for performance evaluation, assessment, accreditation, and quality up-grading of institutions of higher education, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has been developed. The IQAC ensures a quality assurance system with the right structure, procedures, and flexibility to satisfy the various stakeholder needs. The institution’s quality assurance (QA) and quality enhancement (QE) operations are planned, supervised, and maintained by the IQAC.

Objective

The Prime objective of the IQAC

 

1. To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

 

2. Promote institutional actions that will improve quality through the adoption of best practices and the globalization of quality culture

Vision

The vision of IQAC is to create systematic quality procedures in the institute for developing, enhancing and sustaining excellence in its academic and administrative practices and to set benchmarks for the periodic assessment.

Quality Policy

1. The quality policy of IQAC is to pursue universal standards of excellence in endeavors encompassing teaching, research, consultancy, self-evaluation, extra-curricular activity, provide stakeholder value and sustain the good work of the institution.

2. IQAC will facilitate the process of internalization of the quality and play a vital role in the performance improvement of the institution. 

Functions

The main functions of IQAC are:

1. Establishing and implementing quality standards/parameters for the institution’s numerous academic and administrative tasks.

2. Information sharing on the many higher education quality indicators.

3. Workshops and lectures on quality-related topics are organized, and quality circles are promoted.

4. Documentation of the numerous quality improvement programs and activities serving as the institution’s focal organization for actions relating to quality.

5. Depending on the quality criteria, the creation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) that will be submitted to NAAC.

  • IQAC will develop systems and practises for:

  • 1. Ensuring the timely, effective, and progressive completion of administrative, academic, and financial tasks.

  • 2. Networking with other institutions in India and overseas and sharing research findings.

  • 3. Ensuring the sufficiency, upkeep, and appropriate distribution of support infrastructure and services.

  • 4. The legitimacy of the evaluation and assessment processes.

  • 5. Contemporary teaching and learning techniques are optimised and integrated.

  • 6. Quality academic and research programmes that are relevant.

  • Affordable and equitable access to academic programmes for all societal groups.
