About the Workshop:

The Department of Civil Engineering & Civil Engineering with Computer Application is going to organize a workshop on “Geospatial Data Model and Structure” on 18^th November, 2024, to introduce participants to the fundamentals of geospatial data management. This hands-on workshop will explore the concepts, techniques, and tools necessary for designing and implementing robust geospatial data models. Here, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of geospatial data models and structures, essential for anyone working with geographic information systems (GIS), spatial analysis, or location-based data.

Objectives:

1. Understand geospatial data types and structures.

2. Learn data modelling techniques for geospatial applications.

3. Explore relational and non-relational database management systems.

4. Develop skills in geospatial data visualization and analysis.
