The scholarship is open to students who have passed Class XII or an equivalent examination from a school situated within NER through a recognized Board of Education, including CBSE, ICSE, and NIOS.
The scholarship is available only to students who are pursuing recognized UG degree programmes as specified and notified by UGC from time to time.
Only students who are already admitted in the first year of a UG degree programme in an eligible university/college/institution within India are eligible to apply. A student who has secured admission in a UG programme in the academic year 2020–21 will be eligible for selection in the year 2020–21 only.
The scholarship is available for the first UG degree only. Students who have already acquired any degree are not eligible to apply.
The scholarship will be provided for the duration of the UG programme as specified by UGC for each programme, starting from the first year/semester.
The annual income of the parents should be below Rs. 4.50 lakh. Students whose parents’ annual income is Rs. 4.50 lakh or more are not eligible to apply.
The student must possess a valid Domicile Certificate of any State of NER.

SAKSHAM SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR SPECIALLY- ABLED STUDENT
Eligibility Criteria
Only girl students (B.Tech and Diploma) are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Year-back students are not eligible for this scholarship.
The application must be submitted during the year of admission. Applications submitted later will not be accepted.
The girl candidate must be admitted to the first year of a Degree-level course OR the second year of a Degree/Diploma course through lateral entry in any AICTE-approved institution of the respective year.
A maximum of two girl children per family are eligible.
Family income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh per annum during the current financial year. A valid income certificate issued by the State/UT Government must be enclosed.
The scholarship is awarded purely on a merit basis.
Students receiving any other scholarship from other sources are not eligible.

The candidate should belong to any one of the following categories:
Orphan
Either or both parents died due to COVID-19
Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action (Shaheed)
Parent suffering from critical life-threatening disease (such as Cancer, etc.) / died or severely disabled (above 80%) in an accident (as per RPwD Act 2016)
Family income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh per annum during the financial year of application. A valid income certificate issued by SDM/DCM/DM is required.
The candidate must be currently studying in AICTE-approved institutions and courses at Degree/Diploma level in regular mode (1st / 2nd / 3rd / 4th year).
The candidate must NOT be a recipient of any Central Government / State Government / AICTE-sponsored scholarship.
Note: Students satisfying any one of the conditions listed above (Category 1–4) are eligible, subject to fulfillment of all other criteria.

The scholarship is open only to students who are permanent residents of any of the North Eastern States.
At the time of availing the scholarship, the student must not be receiving any other scholarship or financial assistance from any other source.
A minimum of 60% marks in the previous academic qualification is required to apply. Final selection will be based on merit.
The scholarship is admissible to students admitted to Diploma, Degree, or Post-graduate courses in institutes recognized by the Government.
The parent/guardian’s annual income from all sources must not exceed Rs. 8.0 lakh. An income certificate issued by the competent authority must be furnished.

Students who are above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class XII (10+2 pattern or equivalent).
Students must be pursuing regular degree courses (not correspondence, distance mode, or diploma courses).
Students must not be availing benefits of any other scholarship schemes, including State-run scholarship schemes, fee waiver, or reimbursement schemes.
Students with gross parental/family income up to Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum are eligible. Income certificate is required only for fresh applicants.
For renewal of scholarship each year:
Minimum 50% marks in the annual examination.
At least 75% attendance.
No complaints of indiscipline or criminal behavior, including ragging. Any such complaint will lead to forfeiture of the scholarship.
