IQAC – Roles & Responsibilities

Techno College of Engineering Agartala believes in fostering a strong quality culture throughout its academic and administrative functions. In pursuit of this objective, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) plays a proactive role in leading quality enhancement and sustenance activities across the institution.

Primary Responsibility

The prime responsibility of the IQAC is to initiate, plan, supervise and monitor activities aimed at enhancing the overall quality of education and institutional processes, in alignment with regulatory and accreditation frameworks. 

Key Responsibilities

IQAC at Techno College of Engineering Agartala is responsible for: 

  1. Ensuring timely, efficient, and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.

  2. Monitoring the relevance and quality of academic and research programmes.

  3. Facilitating equitable access and affordability of programmes for diverse learner groups.

  4. Promoting modern teaching–learning methods and pedagogical innovations.

  5. Upholding the credibility of evaluation and assessment procedures.

  6. Ensuring adequacy, maintenance, and optimized use of support structures and services.

  7. Supporting research dissemination, collaboration, and networking with external institutions.

  8. Assisting departments in achieving and maintaining professional accreditation standards (e.g., NBA).

Functions of IQAC

To fulfil its responsibilities, the Cell performs the following functions: 

  • Establish and implement quality benchmarks/parameters across academic and administrative areas.

  • Facilitate a learner-centred environment that enhances quality education and faculty competence.

  • Organize workshops, seminars, and quality-related events for stakeholders.

  • Arrange for systematic feedback collection (students, parents, alumni, employers) on quality processes.

  • Act as a nodal agency to coordinate quality-related initiatives and share best practices.

  • Document all quality improvement measures and maintain an institutional quality database.
