The Engineering Chemistry Laboratory is designed to complement the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom with practical hands-on experience. This lab course introduces first-year engineering students to the foundational principles of chemistry through experimental methods. It aims to develop scientific skills, enhance analytical thinking, and instill safe laboratory practices essential for engineers.Students will perform a series of experiments related to volumetric analysis, qualitative analysis, instrumental techniques, and polymer & water chemistry. Emphasis is placed on accurate measurement, data analysis, error estimation, and the scientific method. The course also helps students understand the real-world application of chemistry in engineering disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineering.
