Robotronics

 For the first time in Techno College of Engineering Agartala ECE 3RD Year presents ROBOTRONICS – A Robotics Contest. This contest is open for all school and college students. TCEA will provide Electronics kit as well as training to the participants for making the robots. Training will be provided on 8Th November, 2019 at TCEA Campus.

         Each team must consist of minimum two and maximum five members. A cash prize of 10,000 for the champion team and 5,000 for the first runner up.
          Registration fees per team is 3,000. The contest will take place on 15th November at TCEA Campus.

Dimension of the robot : Less than or equal to 30cm * 22cm (L*W)
General Rules:-

  • Contestants must use the kits provided from TCEA. No other Motor, Wheel or Motor Driver can be used.
  • During contest, contestants must not step in to the arena.
  • Robot should be controlled wirelessly via smart phone (using Bluetooth/Wi-Fi). only.
  • Once the robot gets inside the arena, it can’t be touched by the contestants until the match is finished.
  • Judges’ decision will be treated as final.

Round 1:- DRAG AND PLACE

  • There will be ten blocks (9 small blocks and 1 big block) and allocated places for each block.
  • Robot can’t be touched once it gets inside the arena.
  • The timer will start once the bot leaves its position.
  • The bot must place all the small blocks in the allocated places, before placing the last big block.
  • No part of the block should be out of the allocated place.
  • Once the last block touch the finish line the timer will stop.
  • Teams will be selected on the basis of time taken to complete the challenge.
  • Selected teams will be qualified for the next round.

Round 2 : – ROLL & GOAL

  • Robot should be controlled wirelessly via smart phone ( using Bluetooth/Wi-Fi).
  • The bot2 teams will play a match at a time.
  • Bots have to start through the line following system.
  • During the line following, there shouldn’t be any manual control.
    Robot can’t be touched once it gets inside the arena.
  • After completion of the line following system, the competitors will gain control over the bot.
  • There will be 10 yellow balls for each bot of 10 points each and 10 blue balls of 20 points and an extra red ball of 50 points.
  • The bots have to drag the balls inside the instructed space.
    The red ball should be touched only after placing the other balls atleast for once in their respective places.
  • Exit after placement of all the balls should be through the line following system only.
  • The team with highest points will win the match.

Point distribution:

  • From round one, bots will be selected according to the time taken to complete the match.
  • For the successful completion of the line following, 10 points will be added.
  • In case if the robot gets deflected from the line, 5 points will be deducted.
  • If any bot places balls into wrong post , 5 points will be deducted.
  • For each successful goal, 10 points will be added for yellow and blue balls, and 50 points will be added for the red ball.
  • If any bot operator enters into the arena, then 5 points will be deducted.
  • For the successful completion of line following part (in case of entry as well as exit), 10 points will be added.

NB:- 1st 10 groups(registered) will get the kits on 8th November 2019. After that according registration count the kits will delivered within 12th November,2019 approx.
